Company Profile

The TICK-KIT was developed from a personal need to handle ticks safely where-ever and whenever exposure to their habitat, during real estate development  projects in the North East U.S., as well as summers on eastern   Long Island, N.Y.

After a near fatal family experience with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (one of several tick borne diseases), 50 years ago, we were raised with a strong fear of ticks, and the     importance of proper handling.

Frustrated with the products appearing on the market (most were poor quality "gimmicks", but all handled ticks dangerously), our TICK-KIT was developed in the late 1980s, and after endless requests from family, friends and word of mouth inquiries, commercially produced in 1993. -Quote from TICK TANK founder and CEO, Ford V. Swick
